My name is Kat Littlewood – a PhD candidate at Massey University in New Zealand.
I am a small animal veterinarian undertaking research in animal welfare science. My PhD focuses on the veterinarian’s role in end-of-life or euthanasia decision-making in cats. You can learn more about my research here.
I am a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) animal welfare chapter (by examination). I am studying towards becoming a fellow of the chapter. This will bring me one step closer towards becoming a specialist in animal welfare. I hope to have a career in academia (teaching and research) and be actively involved in supporting the next generation of veterinarians and animal scientists.
